Good historical fiction read: The Blood of Flowers, by Anita Amirrezvani, is about a woman fending for herself in 17th century Persia using her budding skills as a rug-maker. Excellent writing about a time past in a land far away.


Living by the seat of your pants: Zach Aboard: A Boy, A Boat, a Life Afloat is about a couple who lives on their boat. In my dreams, this sounds like a great way to live. I wonder if the realities of life in a small confined space amidst the wide-open water are as divine.
