Some fast facts about where our story unfolds:


Vienna covers an area of 4.4 square miles. 

Vienna took a little while to get rolling, but it really took off once it did. In 1900, Vienna was home to 317 people. Forty years later, there were 1,237. The big jump came in the 1960s and 1970s: in 1960 there were 11,440 people, increasing to 17,152 in 1970 – the all time high for the town. The last count in July 2008 put the town at 14,903 residents.

Today, the overwhelming majority of people live in single-family unit houses and they are White. 

The average age of a resident in Vienna is 40 years old. However, there’s a fairly even split among ages from the under 10 to age 64 set.
